The introduction explains the reasons for introducing Web services and standards governing this area, followed by a presentation of differences between the Web Map and Web Feature services and a description of their technical characteristics. The article concludes by presenting two solutions put forward by the Environmental Agency of the Republic of Slovenia.Text/Conference Paper
