The project is part of the program "Research for Sustainable Development" of the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF). It is a cooperation between the Technical University of Dresden (Forschungsverbund Public Health, Institute of Clinical Pharmacology, Institute for Urban Water Management, Institute of Hydrobiology, Professorship of Geoinformation Systems) and the Stadtentwässerung Dresden GmbH. The overall objective is to design strategies to reduce the release of antibiotics as well as the formation of antibiotic resistances and to develop corresponding monitoring and warning systems.
