The achievement: interoperable web based availability of all data sets via viewing and download services. Directive 2000/60/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a framework for the Community action in the field of water policy or, in short, the EU Water Framework Directive (or even shorter the WFD) is the basis of a comprehensive water protection in Europa to get polluted waters clean again, and ensure clean waters are kept clean.3 Directive 2007/60/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on the assessment and management of flood risks establishing a framework for Community action in the field of water policy requires river basin management plans to be developed for each river basin district in order to achieve good ecological and chemical status, and it will contribute to mitigating the effects of floods.4 The main target of the water management is to allocate one SDI covering the directives named above.Environmental data and INSPIRE - Exemplified at the Water Framework Directive (WFD)/Flood Risks Directive (FRD) in Saxony and INSPIRE – Annex I – Hydrography (HY)Text/Conference Paper
