TEMSIS serves the exchange of environmental information, tele-cooperation and citizens information. Its main objective is the integration to existing heterogeneous information platforms of users and data providers. To achieve these objectives ‘of the shelf products’ or approved project solutions are integrated to the TEMSIS services. The telecommunication network is based on direct ISDN or Internet connections. A TEMSIS demonstrator is in use by local environmental authorities in Germany and France in the region Saar/Moselle4. This paper sets the focus on the integrated services for geographic information based on a PC-GIS and the TEMSIS Meta-Service.TEMSIS – Länderübergreifende interkommunale Informationsservices im UmweltschutzText/Conference Paper
