The simulation model was built up using software components for storage systems which were developed in our working group. In addition we equipped our model with a COM-interface consisting of a run method, some other methods to set simulation run time parameters and to pass the simulation results to the IEIS. As an example this paper deals with the simulation of a storage system and shows how a change of the order policy of a store can result in fewer emissions as well as in fewer costs. These information can be used for tactical and strategic decision management purposes.Text/Conference Paper
