The software can be used out of the box on several publicly available databases and offers a convenient mechanism to configure the tool chain to fit the needs for individual experimental setups. It is implemented in C++ and works on Linux as well as on Windows and therefore offers an advantage over existing vein recognition libraries. The project’s aim is to offer a valuable tool to conduct research in the field of vein recognition and importantly, supporting reproducible research.enBiometricsvein recognitionfree software frameworkVeinPLUS+C++softwareVeinPLUS+: A Publicly Available and Free Software Framework for Vein RecognitionText/Conference Paper1617-5468
