Elwira unterstützt die Anwendung des produktionsintegrierten Umweltschutzes mit wissensbasierten Methoden. Hierbei werden mit der Software cosap modellierte Produktionsprozesse nach ökologischen Kriterien auf Umweltverträglichkeit untersucht. Das erste Anwendungsgebiet befasst sich mit der Wiedergewinnung von Inhaltsstoffen aus Abwasserströmen innerhalb des Produktionsprozesses. Im folgenden wird ein Ansatz zur Behandlung von Abwasserströmen sowie das Elwira-Konzept vorgestellt. Das Konzept wurde in Form eines Prototypen realisiert, auf den ebenfalls kurz eingegangen wird.
Elwira supports the application of production integrated environmental control with knowledge-based methods. This is realised by an ecological examination of production processes modelled by the software system cosap. The first area of application is concerned with the recovery of raw materials from waste water within a production process. This paper describes a general approach to a knowledge-based support of production integrated environmental control in the example domain of waste water treatment and briefly presents a prototypical implementation of the basic ideas behind the Elwira-concept.
