Abstract

Cette note présente les principaux avantages de la modélisation objet pour la conception des Systèmes d'Information sur l'Environnement (SIE). En s'appuyant sur le formalisme des méthodes OMT et POLLEN, les auteurs présentent plusieurs cas de modélisation extraits du SIE de l'observatoire pilote ROSELT de Banizoumbou (Niger). La modélisation objet apporte une aide précieuse pour la conception des trois parties d'un SIE : la description de l'état du territoire ; l'analyse et la compréhension du fonctionnement du territoire ; la simulation de l'évolution du territoire.

This note shows the main advantages of object modelling for Environmental Information System (EIS) design. By using the symbolic techniques from OMT and POLLEN methods, the authors present most examples of modelling from the Banizoumbou (Niger) EIS. Object modelling is a valuable help in designing the three parts of an EIS : description of the state of a territory, analysis and understanding of the territory's functioning and simulation of the territory's evolution.
