Der einheitliche Zugriff auf autonome Informationsquellen ist eine unverzichtbare Voraussetzung für die effiziente Beschaffung von Umweltinformationen. Unser Lösungsansatz basiert auf der WIND-Architektur (Warehouse für INternet Data), in der umweltbezogene Dokumente importiert und mittels Datenbank- und Textretrieval-Techniken abgefragt werden können. Wir konzentrieren uns auf das Problem der Auswahl und Beschaffung von Dokumenten, die aus unterschiedlichen externen Quellen importiert werden müssen, um die Nutzeranfragen zu beantworten. Unsere Methodik basiert auf der Nutzung von mehreren spezialisierten Thesauri zur Erhöhung der Treffgenauigkeit der Anfragen.
A prerequisite for the efficient retrieval of environmental information is the uniform access to autonomous information sources. We propose the WIND-architecture as a solution framework, in which environmental documents are temporarily imported and queried via database and text retrieval facilities. In this study, we focus on the problem of querying and importing environmental documents that use different terminologies. Our methodology is based on the use of multiple specialised thesauri to increase the quality of the document retrieval service of WIND.
