Zusammenfassung
Twin transformation (TT), which synergistically integrates digital and sustainability transformations, is increasingly acknowledged as essential for the future resilience of organizations. Despite its growing importance, the design and implementation of TT within higher education institutions (HEIs) remain underexplored. In this paper, we address this deficiency by developing a TT framework tailored for HEIs, utilizing employee-driven innovation (EDI) approaches to leverage the collective intelligence of employees and students from a value-adding perspective. Furthermore, we have created an iterative roadmap for the implementation of the TT framework. As a foundation for our work, we utilized qualitative data from a HEI as a case study, which included its existing digital transformation strategy. The findings of this paper provide theoretical contributions to the understanding of TT and an adaptable framework that can assist other HEIs in enhancing stakeholder engagement and fostering EDI initiatives to support their TT.
