Zusammenfassung
Objective of the project MURBANDY (Monitoring Urban Dynamics) was to establish a long-term monitoring of land use development. For four time slots a polygon and a line dataset has been derived representing land use units and linear infrastructure features. The compilation of the land use and transport coverages was based on computer assisted visual interpretation of the image data. The resulting data-bases will be primary used to identify spatial patterns of urban growth, but they also help understanding temporal pathways of urbanization.
