Zusammenfassung
The aging population and strained healthcare systems globally heighten the importance of informal caregiving. Informal caregivers face mental and physical strains while meeting increasing care needs. To support them, a range of services is offered by healthcare providers and health systems, evolving alongside the digital transformation of the care sector. Collaboration among stakeholders fosters value exchange, shaping informal care support service ecosystems. However, research on these value exchanges within informal caregiving ecosystems is limited. This paper addresses this gap by analyzing how value is exchanged between different actors. Analyzing both literature and informal care business models, we model ecosystem dynamics using the e³-value ontology. We contribute to the body of knowledge by providing an overview of key actors and value streams in informal care support ecosystems. For practice, we offer insights on innovating within existing care ecosystems. For academia, we lay the foundation for further model-based inquiries of interdisciplinary research.
