Zusammenfassung

Ever-evolving business processes can be re-engineered with process mining and simulation as a technology, as the approach shapes future outcomes, analyzing their present and past. Developing effective models can make it easier and more cost-effective, as there are potential benefits such as working with what-if scenarios and eliminating bottlenecks, but their quality check is always an issue. Different criteria have been applied to tackle this quality issue, disclosing expected benefits and weaknesses. This can help build suitable ground for analyzing and implementing relevant use cases. The criteria extracted from process model quality research demonstrate the effectiveness of model assessment and have practical implications for improving use case modeling. Results display the quality of particular models and indicate how use case modeling can be improved.
