| dc.description.abstract | Efficient and effective environmental management requires the integration of a broad variety of existing knowledge assets (analysis, best practices, lesson learned) and their documentation. An environmental knowledge object within the meaning of an environmental knowledge management consists of content (data and information) and context (a perspective that gives meaning to the content). One of the main challenges of (environmental) knowledge management is to relate content and context . The data element catalogue is an adequate method for environmental knowledge discovery and mapping. The today implementation of our knowledge management system, the EcoExplorer System, supports the discovery and mapping of environmental knowledge objects. | de |
